367. Minerva "Ellen"⁵ HAWKINS (Zadock⁴ HAWKINS, Zadock³ HAWKINS, Zadock² HAWKINS, Zadock¹ HAWKINS) was born on 2 Nov 1849 in Marshall Co., Indiana, USA. She appeared on the 1850 U.S. Census with her parents in Richland Twp., Fulton Co., Indiana. Ten years later she appeared with her father and step mother in the same location. Sometime in the 1862 to 1864 time frame her family moved to Peru, Miami Co., Indiana, where she lived the rest of her life. She died on 19 Sep 1924 in Peru, Miami Co., Indiana. She died of "ailments common to old age," at her daughter's home at 430 West Seventh St. She was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.

She was married to Leroy F. CHICK on 30 Aug 1868 in Miami Co., Indiana. Leroy and Ellen appeared on the 1870 and 1880 U.S. Censuses in Peru, Miami Co., Indiana. Ellen appeared without Leroy on the 1900 census in the same location. Leroy F. CHICK was born about 1830 in Maine, USA. He resided between 1870 and 1880 in Peru, Miami Co., Indiana. He died in 1883 in Peru, Miami Co., Indiana, most likely. Minerva "Ellen" HAWKINS and Leroy F. CHICK had the following children:
