340. Ezra E.⁵ FINNEY (Denica "Denicy"⁴ HAWKINS, Zadock³ HAWKINS, Zadock² HAWKINS, Zadock¹ HAWKINS) was born on 15 Dec 1838 in Kill Buck, Madison Co., Indiana vicinity. He lived most of his life in Marshall Co., Indiana. He appeared on the 1850 and 1860 U. S. Census in Marshall Co. with his parents in both censuses. His presence in his parents' home in the 1860 census is interesting since other records indicate he had already been married two years. He died on 23 May 1914 in Argos, Marshall Co., Indiana, USA. He was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana.

He was married to Sarah Elizabeth HARRIS (daughter of Robert HARRIS and Mary) on 11 Apr 1858 in Marshall Co., Indiana, USA. He was divorced from Sarah Elizabeth HARRIS on 2 Feb 1869 in Marshall Co., Indiana, USA. Sarah Elizabeth HARRIS was born about 1842 in Indiana, USA. Sarah appeared as the head of the household on the 1880 U.S. Census in Windsor Twp., Cowley Co., Kansas, under the name Sarah E. Frazier. Her parents were living next to her in that census. A statement by Ezra FINNEY in response to a directive to state his wife's name and her maiden name read, "Mary E. Finney, maiden name Finney." A marriage license corroborates that her maiden name was FINNEY. Another record places her birth in Howard Co., Indiana. She died on 8 Jun 1924. Ezra E.
