ZADOCK HAWKINS Book Information

75. Lucenia "Cena"4 HAWKINS (Zadock3 HAWKINS, Zadock2 HAWKINS, Zadock1 HAWKINS) was born on 28 May 1810 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky, USA. She died about May 1899 in LaBette Co., Kansas, most likely. She lived in Kansas, Colorado, and Arkansas after the death of her husband.

She was married to Squire OWENS (son of Elijah OWENS and Mary "Polly" HENDRICKS) on 20 Feb 1831 in Bartholomew Co., Indiana, USA. He was one of three children of Elijah Owens who married a child of Zadock and Jane (Cooper) Hawkins. Although Elijah Owens was reported to have been married three times, it is believed that Squire's mother was Polly Hendricks. The evidence for placing Squire Owens as the husband of Lucinia Hawkins appears in an article on page 106 of the April 2001 issue of The American Genealogist. Squire OWENS was born about 1813 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky, USA. He also appears as Squiar OWENS in the records. He died on 4 Apr 1888 in LaBette, Kansas.
