3. Alexander H.² STEWART (Benjamin¹ STEWART) was born on 13 MAR 1841 in Pennsylvania, USA. He appeared on the 1850 U.S. Census with his parents in Erwin Twp., Steuben Co., New York. He died on 24 DEC 1918 in Ravenna, Muskegon Co., Michigan, most likely. He was buried in McNitt Cemetery, Chester Twp., Ottawa Co., Michigan. He served in Co. E, 21st Michigan Infantry of the Union Army in the Civil War.

He was married to Louisa Catherine WHITE on 4 DEC 1864 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. Alexander and Catherine appeared on the 1880 U.S. Census in Moorland Twp., Muskegon Co., Michigan. Alexander appeared alone on the 1900 and 1910 U.S. Censuses, still in the same location. Louisa Catherine WHITE was born in 1843 in Tennessee. She died in 1917. She was buried in McNitt Cemetery, Chester Twp., Ottawa Co., Michigan. She probably went by the name Catherine. Alexander H. STEWART and Louisa Catherine WHITE had the following children:
