32. Zedekiah³ HAWKINS (Thomas² HAWKINS, Zadock¹ HAWKINS) was born about 1814 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky, most likely. His birth year is uncertain. The 1840 U.S. Census places him in the 20-30 year age group. He was 40 years old on the 1860 U.S. Census and 58 years old on the 1870 U.S. Census. He was also known as Zadock Hawkins, the name by which most of the Pendleton Co., Kentucky, records list him. However, most of the Richland Co., Wisconsin, records identify him as Zedekiah Hawkins. The evidence and arguments for placing Zedekiah Hawkins of Richland Co., Wisconsin, as Zadock Hawkins of Pendleton Co., Kentucky, are outlined in a Research Report. He died in 1875 in Richland Co., Wisconsin.

He was married to Eliza Jane RACE (daughter of Moses RACE and Sarah TOMLIN) on 8 Oct 1837 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky, USA. Eliza Jane RACE was born in Aug 1815 in Huntington Twp., Brown Co., Ohio, most likely. Pendleton Co., Kentucky, records identify her as Jane Race and indicate that she was born around August 1815. However, there is compelling evidence that her name was Eliza Jane Race, that she and her husband moved from Kentucky to Wisconsin, and that she went by the name Eliza Jane in Wisconsin. This evidence is outlined in a Research Report. Zedekiah HAWKINS and Eliza Jane RACE had the following children:

117 i. Hannah⁴ HAWKINS was born in 1837 in Kentucky, USA. She is listed as Zedekiah and Eliza Jane's daughter based on a second hand report that Zedekiah and Eliza Jane Hawkins, had a daughter named Hannah, born in 1837, who died 18 January 1909. This has not been confirmed. She died on 18 Jan 1909 in Richland Co., Wisconsin, most likely. She reportedly was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, presumably the one in Richwood Twp. Richland Co., Wisconsin.
