1094. Hattie Ellen⁶ GARN (Sarah Jane⁵ HAWKINS, William W.⁴ HAWKINS, Zadock³ HAWKINS, Zadock² HAWKINS, Zadock¹ HAWKINS) was born on 13 Jul 1875 in Beatrice, Gage Co., Nebraska, USA. She appeared on the 1880 U.S. Census with her parents in Beatrice Twp., Gage Co., Nebraska. About 15 years later after her parents had moved to Eden Twp., Mason Co., Michigan, she had a son, Claud, whose father was an American Indian. There is no record of the name of Claud's father or that he and Hattie ever married. After Hattie's death, Claud lived with her uncle, John Hawkins, and took his last name. She died on 29 Nov 1900 in Manton, Wexford Co., Michigan, USA.

2104 ii. Lettie⁷ GARN was born after 1895. She died between 1896 and 1900. Lettie may have been Frank Martin's child. She died young and was not mentioned in Frank's obituary.

She was married to Frank MARTIN on 2 May 1897 in Eden, Mason Co., Michigan. Hattie and Frank appeared on the 1900 U.S. Census of her father in Eden Twp., Mason Co., Michigan. Frank MARTIN was born on 12 Dec 1867 in Michigan. He died about 1951 in Manton, Wexford Co., Michigan, USA.
