ZADOCK HAWKINS Book Information

203. Lydia Elizabeth5 HAWKINS (William Wilmot4 HAWKINS Jr., Zadock3 HAWKINS, William Wilmot2 HAWKINS, Zadock1 HAWKINS) was born about 1846 in Canada, most likely. The early records placed her as the second daughter of William Wilmot Hawkins, Jr., and Sarah Young, without indicating a birth year." We believe she is the Lydia who appeared as the 5-year-old granddaughter of Zadock and Mary (Paul) Hawkins in the 1851 Census of Pennfield. We reach this conclusion because she didn't appear elsewhere on the 1851 Census, and because we have good evidence that other Lydia Hawkinses in the area were not 5 years old and have been accounted for. Also, we believe she was the Lydia E. Hanson who appeared as the 33-year-old wife of John H. Hanson on the 1880 U.S. Census in Boston. Her birth year is based on the census records.

She was married to Henry HANSON.

She was married to Erwin C. BOWMAN. Lydia Elizabeth HAWKINS and Erwin C. BOWMAN had the following children:

child685 i. Charles6 BOWMAN.
