Floyd was the Manager of the Farm Bureau in both Chesaning and Fowlerville, Michigan, serving longest at Fowlerville. He retired to Lake City, Michigan.

He was married to Rachel Malcom LEWIS in Hastings, Michigan. Floyd STEWART and Rachel Malcom LEWIS had the following children:
