49. Lawrence Gordon⁴ STEWART (Mabel Rose³ NIXON, Amos Van Buren² NICKERSON, Jeremiah S.¹ NICKERSON) was born on 26 Aug 1911. He died on 9 Feb 1967 in Brook, Newton Co., Indiana, USA. He died of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Coincidentally, his last wife, Barbara, died of the same thing a few years before 2000. He was buried at Maple Hill Cemetery, Cadillac, Wexford Co., Michigan. Lawrence's obituary says he managed the Farm Bureau at Pinconning, Saganaw, Bay City, Lansing, Chesaning, and Port Huron, Michigan. He was managing the Farm Bureau Corp. in the spring of 1935 and about 1951 he became the manager of the Michigan Bean Exchange in Port Huron, Michigan. After that he was in Lansing, Michigan for a time before becoming the General Manager of the Newton County Co-op Association of Indiana in Kentland, Newton Co., Indiana. He served on the board of his church.

All three of his wives were teachers.

He was married to Laura ROBBINS. He was divorced from Laura ROBBINS.

He was married to Jayne CAMPBELL. He was divorced from Jayne CAMPBELL.

He was married to Barbara COWIN (daughter of William Guy COWIN and Pearl Ann GARVIN) in Cadillac, Wexford Co., Michigan, USA. Barbara COWIN died before 2000. Lawrence Gordon STEWART and Barbara COWIN had the following children:
