ZADOCK HAWKINS Book Information

7. Reuben2 HAWKINS (Zadock1 HAWKINS) was born on 5 Feb 1765 in New Milford, Connecticut. He died on 30 Dec 1830.

He was married to Anna WOOSTER (daughter of Thomas WOOSTER and Lois HAWKINS) on 7 Mar 1786 in Oxford, Connecticut. The family of Reuben HAWKINS appeared on the 1800 U.S. Census in Maidstone, Essex Co., Vermont. They were reported to have been living there in 1790 also. Anna WOOSTER was born before 20 Mar 1761. Reuben HAWKINS and Anna WOOSTER had the following children:

child+22 i. William Wilmot3 HAWKINS.
child23 ii. Joseph3 HAWKINS was born about 1795 in Maidstone, Essex Co., Vermont, most likely. We believe Joseph belongs in the family of Reuben Hawkins. Our reasons for placing him in this familly will be provided in the book we are writing.
Both the 1830 and 1840 U.S. Census records suggest that Joseph was married. In 1830 he and his wife had a daughter under five years old in the household. The daughter does not appear on the 1840 U.S. Census.

child+24 iii. Annah3 HAWKINS.
child+25 iv. Louise3 HAWKINS.
child+26 v. Sylvia3 HAWKINS.
