He was married to Susannah DURAND (daughter of John DURAND and Sarah CHATFIELD) on 30 Sep 1781 in Oxford, Connecticut. They resided in Derby, Connecticut in 1790. We have not found another Peter Hawkins living in the area at the time. He died on 21 Feb 1870 in Pittsfield, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts, USA. Like the death information for his father, Reuben's death information depends on the circumstantial evidence that Reuben joined a Shaker Colony.
