ZADOCK HAWKINS Book Information

382. Dr. Zed Thomas⁵ HAWKINS (Ezra Eleazer⁴ HAWKINS, Zadock³ HAWKINS, Zadock² HAWKINS, Zadock¹ HAWKINS) was born on 6 Dec 1867 in Wabash Co., Indiana, USA. He is the author of the book, "One Hundred Fifty Years of the Hawkins Family," that provided a wealth of information that was used to track down additional members of the Zadock Hawkins family. Zed appeared on the 1880 U.S. Census with his parents in Waltz Twp., Wabash Co., Indiana. He died on 26 Apr 1945 in South Pasadena, California. He is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, California. A granddaughter reported that Dr. Hawkins delivered all of his own children and grandchildren except the Overmeyer twins.

He was married to Jennie A. BALDWIN (daughter of Charles BALDWIN and Elizabeth) on 19 Jan 1889 in Converse, Miami Co., Indiana, USA. Zed and Jennie appeared on the 1900 U.S. Census in the town of Swayzee, Grant Co., Indiana. Twenty years later they appeared on the census again in the same location. Jennie A. BALDWIN was born on 18 Aug 1868 in Indiana, USA. She died on 26 Nov 1952 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. She is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park next to her husband. Dr. Zed Thomas HAWKINS and Jennie A. BALDWIN had the following children:
