42. Helen Frances4 NIXON (Frank Harlan3 NIXON, Amos Van Buren2 NICKERSON, Jeremiah S.1 NICKERSON) . Shortly before she turned 92 years old the Citizen Patriot newspaper in Jackson, Michigan, carried a story about how she volunteered to tutor reading at the local elementary school and was helping a fourth grader with reading. She enjoyed the tutoring very much.

She was married to Stewart Darrell GARN (son of Archie Edwin GARN and Eva Della STEWART) in Meauwataka, Wexford Co., Michigan, USA. Stewart Darrell GARN was born on 17 Aug 1915 in Meauwataka, Colfax Twp., Wexford Co., Michigan. He died on 14 Apr 1989 in Lakeland, Polk Co., Florida. He was buried in Meauwataka Cemetery, Colfax Twp., Wexford Co., Michigan. Stewart and his brother Gerald owned and operated Garn Glass Company in Cadillac, Michigan, from the early 1950's until the late 1970's. Helen Frances NIXON and Stewart Darrell GARN had the following children:
