A daughter of Emma's brother Lytton, reported that Emma was buried at Playa Del Rey, California. However, Morley Wilson, son of Emma's sister Minnie, reported that Emma was buried in Marion, Michigan. Emma recorded the descendants of her father, James Madison Hillard, for the Stewart-Hillard Reunion Papers. Her contribution was dated 1947.
