77. Frank⁴ HILLARD (James Madison³ HILLARD, Thomas Jefferson² HILLARD, Richmond A.¹ HILLARD) was born on 16 FEB 1873 in Michigan, USA. We are somewhat perplexed by a report found at pilot.familysearch.org of a Wilder F. Hillard, born to James M. and Abbie Hillard on the same date as this Frank Hillard was born since this Frank Hillard already had a brother, Wilder W. Hillard, who was living at the time and also survived to adulthood. The older brother, Wilder W. Hillard, born about four years earlier than this Frank Hillard, was always referred to by the family and public records as Wilder Hillard or Wilder W. Hillard. We have not found another record of a Wilder F. Hillard born on the same date as this Frank Hillard. However, it is possible that two brothers were both given the same first name and the second went by his middle name all his life.
He appeared on the 1880 U.S. Census with his parents in Austin Twp., MeCosta Co., Michigan. He died on 17 MAR 1944 in Norwich Twp., Missaukee Co., Michigan, USA.

Ten years later they appeared on the census in the City of Cadillac, Clam Lake Twp., Wexford Co., Michigan. Nellie PHILLIPS was born in SEP 1872 in Indiana, USA.
