She was married to William Howard HAWKINS (son of William W. HAWKINS and Talitha Ann OWENS) on 5 Jun 1881 in Fulton Co., Indiana. Minnie's uncle, Martin GARN, married Sarah Jane HAWKINS, who was the sister of William Howard HAWKINS. William and Minnie appeared on the 1900 U.S. Census in Sturgis, St. Joseph Co., Michigan. William Howard HAWKINS was born on 13 Sep 1855 in Knox, Starke Co., Indiana, USA. He appeared on the 1860 and 1870 U.S. Censuses with his parents in North Bend Twp., Starke Co., Indiana. He died on 1 Jan 1947 in Sturgis, St. Joseph Co., Michigan, USA. He was living at 604 S. Clay St., Sturgis, St. Joseph Co., Michigan at the time of his death. Apparently he had lived in Sturgis for some time as that's where Dr. Hawkins reported him to be living when he wrote the Hawkins book around 1933.
