347. Isaac M.⁸ GARN (David⁷ GARN, John⁶ GARN, Johannes⁵ GERN, Johann Adam⁴ GERN, Johannes³ GERN, David² GERN, Johannes¹ GERN) was born on 10 Jan 1841 in Washington Twp., Sandusky Co., Ohio, USA. He died on 6 Jan 1921 in Vinton, Benton Co., Iowa, USA. Isaac's obituary reports that E. M. Garn of the same city where Isaac lived was Isaac's nephew. This E. M. Garn is Eugene M. Garn, the son of John J. Garn and Rosina Mitchell. The obituary also reports that Irv Mitchell was a brother-in-law. The appearance of Rosina, Tamson, and Irvin in the home of Jacob and Cordelia on the 1850 U.S. Census, confrims their relationship. The names of their parents are further confirmed by the death record of their brother Irvin.

He is undoubtedly the Isaac Garn who surveyed part of the town of Helena, Ohio.

He was married to Tamson C. MITCHELL (daughter of Jacob MITCHELL and Cordelia RYDER) on 8 Feb 1866 in Sandusky Co., Ohio, USA. Tamson C. MITCHELL was born in 1844 in Ohio, USA. She died in 1935.
