114. William Nathan⁵ SMITH Jr. (William Nathan⁴ SMITH, Cassius Emerson³ SMITH, Nathan² SMITH, Daniel¹ SMITH) was born on 12 Mar 1928 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He died on 10 May 1981 in Monrovia, Los Angeles Co., California.

He was married to Elizabeth Ann "Betty" WISE. He was divorced from Elizabeth Ann "Betty" WISE. There is a notation that the two children, Shar and Carylin were adopted. Originally it was not clear if William and Betty adopted them or if they were adopted out to someone else or if William lost custody and they were adopted by Betty's second husband. A message from William's daughter Bonnie Kaye Smith from his second marriage reports the following:
Somehow I ended up with the birth certificate of his oldest daughter . .. Sherri Denise Smith. I remember when I was very young, my dad driving us somewhere and sitting at the end of the street, in the car, and watching two little girls play in the yard, and I knew that these, or one of these, were my dad's daughters from a previous marriage but never understood why we couldn't go up and talk to them. It was really never talked about and when I was old enough to ask, my father had died and I forgot about it.

Bonnie Kaye Smith would very much like to meet her sisters Sherri Denise Smith and Carylin Smith.

He was married to Betty Kaye CAREW. She was from Millwood, Washington. Betty Kay had been married to someone named Knecht prior to her marriage to William Smith; she had four children at the time she and William married. Their names were Danny, Dean, Hazel and John.
