She resided Chicago, Illinois in 1986. She died on 19 FEB 2004 in Urbana, Champaign Co., Illinois. She died at Carle Foundation Hospital after a long illness.

She was married to Erich Wilson ADICKES. Erich was named Erich Adickes at birth without a middle name. When he married, he took Jane's maiden name as his middle name. They resided in Villa Park, Illinois, in 1987. In 2001 they lived in Urbana, Illinois, where he was a computer technician with the Champaign School District and she was a school librarian. Jane WILSON and Erich Wilson ADICKES had the following children:
