Frank Lawrence⁹ GARN (Riley Monroe⁸ GARN, Joseph⁷ GARN, John⁶ GARN, Johannes⁵ GERN, Johann Adam⁴ GERN, Johannes³ GERN, David² GERN, Johannes¹ GERN) was born on 7 May 1893 in Helena, Sandusky Co., Ohio, USA. He died on 17 Jul 1953 in Columbus, Franklin Co., Ohio, USA. He appears as Francis L. Garn on both the 1900 and 1910 Censuses of his parents. He also served as the guardian, using the name Francis Garn, for the estate of his brother, a minor when their father died. All of the later records appear to use Frank as his name.

He was married to Zelpha V. SHERRARD (daughter of John F. SHERRARD and Jenny BOWLUS) on 8 Nov 1919. Zelpha V. SHERRARD was born on 4 Dec 1888 in Gibsonburg, Sandusky Co., Ohio, USA. She died on 7 Sep 1993 in Bucyrus, Crawford Co., Ohio, USA.
